I have been a teacher at Havana Magnet School since 2017. Prior to beginning my tenure at HMS, I was an adjunct professor for five years at Tallahassee Community College where I taught Developmental Writing and Developmental Reading. Additionally, I have taught Business Communications at Florida State University as an adjunct instructor.

Though I have lived in the United States for many years, I was born on the island archipelago of Bermuda. Education and teaching are my first loves. However, when I am not teaching, I love to read, garden, and tend to my apiary. I have several colonies of bees that my husband and I care for which includes harvesting the honey the bees produce.
My philosophy of education is simple. All students are able to learn to the maximum of their ability, and through a variety of opportunities, they can become engaged, life-long learners.
